How to Create a Fresh Greenery Table Runner

Choosing greenery as your table runner or centerpieces is a great decor option that can be dressed up or dressed down. Greenery is so versatile and can be easy to work with too! This DIY table runner is easy to recreate and took only a few minutes to complete.  We decided to go with Italian Ruscus greenery because it’s hardy, long-lasting and available year-round.

We began by grabbing a few stems of the greenery and laid them out in the middle of our wooden table. For reference, the table in the photo is 8 ft x 3 ft. Then we began to add more and carefully adjusted the stems so that the ends were hidden in the greenery. We didn’t use any floral wire to secure the branches together, but that is definitely an option! It took a total of 30 stems to create this lush table runner.

The great thing about creating your own runner is the ability to customize it to fit your style! You can, of course, go a little lighter with the greens like we did with our next look. Since we were going with a minimal table runner look, we decided to add in a few mums in bud vases. Bud vases are not only cute and affordable but they can be used as a water source too. It took a total of 18 stems to create this runner.

Our wholesale greenery is packed in a grower’s bunch, typically around 5 to 8 stems per bunch.
