LOOK: These Aren’t Your Typical Wedding Flowers

One Toronto couple decided to skip traditional wedding flowers and try something truly unique — an elephant made of carnations and roses!

Mother-daughter florist team, Ruth Slavin and Margarita Oudalova of The Bouquet, crafted a two-foot tall elephant from white carnations and deep maroon spray roses earlier this month.

Oudalova told HuffPost Weddings, “The groom was Indian and the bride was from a mixed Spanish descent. [They] wanted to incorporate their roots and show a respect for their backgrounds and tradition with a strong symbol like the elephant, which has always played a big part in Indian culture and especially in weddings, as they symbolize good luck and prosperity.”
